Charles H. Hubbell was one of the best known aviation artists the early air age. Hubbel painted airplanes for Thompson Products for over 30 years. He traveled more than 65,000 miles to capture the clouds and terrain of his backgrounds and the techinal detail of his planes were precise and authentic. Thompson used Hubbell's painting for calendars, prints. Charles H. Hubbell's original oils hang in the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, and many private collections.
